Ultimate Cherry Blossom Guide 2022

The past two years have been tough on all our cherry blossom lovers community. We couldn't enjoy the spring season like we used to be. But, there will be a couple of saved cherry blossom festivals this year among many canceled ones, and here is the list.

Daegu Eworld Blossom Picnic

Festival Period: 3/19/2022 - 4/3/2022

Entrance Fee: Adult(Regular 26,000won - just for entrance, parade, zoo, or Free Pass 45,000won - all including rides, 83 tower magic art museum) Children(Regular 15,000won, or Free Pass 35,000won)

Seoul SongPa-Gu, SukChon-Lake

Festival Period: 3/25/2022 - 4/3/2022

No Entrance Fee

The most famous Seoul Cherry blossom site in Seoul will open the festival this year. You can walk about 1.5 miles around SukChon-Lake and enjoy beautiful cherry blossoms. You can visit Lotte Tower which is the tallest building in South Korea, and you can also enjoy the Lotte World amusement park.

No festival, but the top 3 Cherry Blossom sites in South Korea

Changwon, Jinhae-Gu, Gunhangjae

Jinhae Gunhangjae used to open on the first of April every year. Unfortunately, this beautiful city of cherry blossom has to cancel the festival one more year due to the COVID-19 outbreak. CNN picked cherry blossom road at YeoJwa Stream as the place you must visit when you travel in South Korea. There will be no event, but you still can enjoy cherry blossoms if you want to see the city full of flower trees.

Gyeongju, Bomun Lake

Gyeongju is the city of history. The entire city is a UNESCO heritage site. Full of national treasures and filled with old history, that is the city of Gyeongju. Well, I can talk about Gyeongju days, but I will push that for a little later. My main focus here is cherry blossom. Bomun lake has 4.3 miles of hike way along with cherry blossom trees. You can enjoy cherry blossom with other beautiful sceneries.

Seoul, YeoEuiDo Han River Park

Han River Park is one of another places that open to the public this year. There won't be a festival, but the town of YoungDeungPo-Gu will limit traffic to open the cherry blossom hike. The total of this hike will be a little over a mile, and the open period is 3/31 to 4/9 between 9 AM to 10 PM.

*Han River Park is a huge river park in Seoul city. The only small area is open to the public during cherry blossom season, so check the Naver map below and plan for your trip.

Drive-Thru Cherry Blossom

Pyeongtaek-Si, Gukjae University

This location is only 14mins from Osan AB. You can drive around and enjoy this pretty cherry blossom in the Pyeongtaek area. Of course, you can also hike cherry blossom road.
