There are many different types of Korean map applications, but Kakao Map is my personal favorite. The reason is that this app offers English service and it also updates very often. However, driving navigation doesn’t offer English voice service, so please use Waze for driving.

Kakao Taxi
You can call the base taxi service when you are near the Osan AB area. However, you have to catch a taxi if you go to the place where you do not have access to the base taxi service. You can set a starting point and a destination if you use this app, so you can estimate the cost of transportation and estimate time of arrival. This app also offers English service, but please get Korean address information from your realtor before using this app.

Shuttle
Korea is the best country for the delivery of food systems. With one click, you can order any type of food to your door, but 99% of Korean food delivery apps DO NOT offer English service. You can order a few food delivery services from Osan AB, but it usually takes about 1 ½ hour when you order from off base housing. Then, do we have to give up using this amazing food delivery system? Shuttle is the only English food delivery app in South Korea and many restaurants are offering Shuttle service after COVID-19. Delivery fees are about $3-$4 but you do not have to pay tips. You can choose a menu from Korean food to dessert cake. Take advantage of the Korean delivery system and try as many foods as you can.

Arirang TV
Since you are living in South Korea, you might want to check Korean news about current events, weather, and etc. Arirang TV is English speaking TV channel that offers Korean news and information. This channel is often included in US cable service as well. This TV channel offers an English app that you can read or watch the news.
